The Canfield Patient Positioner was developed and built by Dr. Michael Canfield, DVM, DACVD. The positioner was originally designed to position brachycephalic canine breeds for soft-palate surgery. Patients from the smallest breeds to a 117 lb bull mastiff have been successfully treated. This positioner has also been used in rhinoscopy procedures with excellent results regarding the comfort and accessibility it allows for the endoscopist. Other uses include, but are not limited to, dental procedures and limb/appendage positioning for surgical procedures or tropical treatment.
