The lip retractor is designed to hold the lip out of the way providing better accesses to the oral cavity during dentistry. The tips of the instrument are soft rubber/plastic coated to minimize trauma to the lip. The jaws also do not close completely to avoid harm to the lip. The ratcheting handle locks in different positions making it suitable for various sized patients.
