The iM3 D5011 forceps can be used to retrieve small tooth root fragments in any patient, but they are especially useful in the more challenging areas of small patient mouths, particularly for molar and premolar root fragments in cats and small dogs. The jaws are angled for improved access, and have a concavity with serrations along the edges to better grip root fragments. The D5011 root tip forceps are also useful as extraction forceps for incisor teeth in cats.
